Est. 2020 · Brookside, Scopwick
Traditional Zakynthian home cooking and proper pub classics, served in an early-18th-century pub beside the beck.
Our story
The Royal Oak has stood beside the beck in Scopwick since the early eighteenth century. After more than a year behind closed doors it reopened in October 2019, and in 2020 a family from the Greek island of Zakynthos took it on.
They cook the dishes they grew up with: slow stews, charcoal skewers, meze made for sharing. And the pub classics, the real ales and the games room a village local should never lose have stayed exactly where they were.
